What is the course about?
This course is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to be able to modify gym instruction or group exercise, or physical activity sessions, to accommodate adolescents. And to provide an understanding of the physiological and psychological issues adolescent's face and how they affect their ability to exercise.
What does the course cover?
The physical, mental, cognitive and emotional development of adolescents in relation to fitness instruction including:
- The principles of modifying gym instruction for adolescents including:

- The principles of modifying group exercise or physical activity sessions for adolescents including:

- Level 2 Fitness Instruction – Gym
- Level 2 Fitness Instruction – ETM
- Level 2 Fitness Instruction – Kids
What qualification does it give me?
On successful completion you will be awarded: The Active IQ Certificate in Adapting Fitness Instruction for Adolescents
This is a vocationally related qualification, at level 2 on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). It carries 20 CPD points for learners already with REPS. You will also receive the Mojo Training Ltd Teenager's Fitness Coach Certificate. |
