Pre-school Fitness Coach
What is the course about?
This course is designed for adults (aged 16+) wishing to teach children's physical activity either in the health and fitness sector, community setting, childcare settings, n pre-schools or reception year at primary schools.
Learners will be able to plan and deliver safe and effective group and individual physical exercise sessions for children under the age of 5.
What does the course cover?
- Introduction to anatomy and physiology
- Preparing a physical activity session
- Teaching a physical activity session
- Concluding and reviewing a physical activity session
- Introduction to working with children
What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific pre-requisites for this course; however previous experience in working with children is an advantage. Mojo Training will not allow enrolment on this course without evidence that a CRB check has been carried out in the last 2 years.
What qualification does it give me?
The Active IQ Certificate in Teaching physical activity to children aged under 5. This is at Level 2 on the National Qualifications framework. It carries 20CPD points for learners already with REPs. This is a nationally recognized qualification in the leisure industry and is encouraged in all settings teaching physical activity to children. You also receive a Mojo Training Ltd Pre-school Fitness Coach Certificate. |
