Level 2 Fitness Instruction (ETM)
What is the course about?
This course gives the learner the knowledge and skills to prescribe, plan and deliver safe and effective exercise-to-music classes in a health club environment and community settings including (but not limited to) aerobics, step, body conditioning and circuit training.
What does the course cover?
- Anatomy and physiology for exercise
- Know how to support clients how take part in exercise and physical activity
- Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment
- Principles of exercise, fitness and health
- Planning group exercise to music sessions
- Instructing group exercise to music sessions
What are the entry requirements?
This course is for adults (aged 16+) wishing to pursue a career in the health and fitness sector as a studio-based fitness instructor
What qualification does it give the learner?
The Active IQ Certificate in Fitness Instruction (ETM) at Level 2 on the Qualifications and Credit Framework. It also provides access onto The Register of Exercise Professional (REPs) at Level 2. |
